– Hey, y’all I’m Kori Ashton, and today we’ll be looking at my 10 favorites, totally free WordPress plugins. I’ll do a recap of some plugins I’ve already done tutorials on, and maybe some that you’ve not heard of just yet. This of course is brought to you by LearnDash. Instantly transform your site into a powerful learning management system with LearnDash’s WordPress LMS plugin.
When you are ready to create your own courses on your WordPress website, LearnDash is a great resource for you.
All right, y’all. Let’s get to the tutorial. My 10 favorite totally free WordPress plugins. (upbeat music) So these are my top 10 favorite free plugins. Everybody knows that free is always on the budget.
These first two play together. If you want to add a custom field to your page or your post, you can do that completely, easily, and quickly. And then if you want it to be able to be searched by Yoast, the SEO plugin, you’ll need this plugin as well. So both of these are just amazing free tools. And if you’re interested in learning more about those, I have the links in the description box below.
Just recently I shared with you about Auto YouTube Importer.
Just a phenomenal, phenomenal plugin for you. If you’re trying to go ahead and sync over your YouTube channel and have it load into your WordPress website, you can have them come in as individual posts, which is awesome for SEO. So please be sure to check that one out. Blog Filter, I think this was one I did quite a while ago.
Really, really impressed though, overall with how cool this plugin is. It allows you to create filters for your blog on your WordPress website. If you wanna learn more about that, be sure to check it out ’cause it really does give some great, easy quick little access for people to quickly and easily navigate through all of your content.
Especially if you have a very large blog with a lot of categories and a lot of tags. Custom Post Type.
If y’all remember the video I did on this one, really, the really cool opportunity for you to add a custom field inside of your dashboard. So not just inside of a page or a post, but this actually allows you to create a totally custom section over on that left sidebar of your dashboard. So in the example, I gave you in my video, I shared with you how to make a recipes section or maybe you want a press release section or something completely custom to kind of segment out content over there on that left side.
You can do that totally for free using this plugin. Google Fonts is another really great one that you can put into your website.
Of course, some authors are very generous and already include that for you. If your author has not included that for you, you can quickly and easily come over here, and install Google Fonts, and it’ll allow you access to over 1,000 Google fonts completely for free. And it’ll really kind of elevate the tone of your website.
Popups for Divi. Y’all know if you follow my channel, I love Divi.
This is a really truly great plugin that allows you to quickly and easily activate a popup on your Divi website. Of course, you have to be using the Divi theme in order to install this. It works brilliantly and easily. I love this plugin. The Events Calendar.
If you are in need of adding any sort of events to your website, this is completely free. You can come in here, activate it quickly, and you’re off and running. I’ve got an entire video that shares with you how to do that. Really truly an outstanding product totally for free. If you have a little bit of a budget, you can upgrade also to a pro version, which just really unlocks a lot of extra bells and whistles.
And if you’re looking for a form builder in the budget free, I recommend WS Form Lite. Again, they have a pro version that’s pretty spectacular but this plugin really has an amazing capability. And one of my favorite things about it is the mobile responsiveness.
And of course, you can set a lot of conditional logic when it comes to your autoresponders. So please be sure to check this out.
The really really great free option here. And last of course, Yoast. I absolutely love the Yoast plugin. It’s still by far my favorite SEO plugin out there. Remember though that this is not the magic fix to boost your rank on Google or any search engine for that matter, but it’s a really great accountability tool to help you learn how to write your content better and allow the search engines to better understand what you’re trying to sell or what type of content you’re offering to your visitors.
And as an added bonus, every once in a while, I try to share with y’all a theme that I enjoy in the budget of free.
And today I wanna highlight Kadence. It’s a really, really great free theme. Man, this really comes out of the box packed with some cool features, really super easy to get off the ground, up and running very quickly. So if you’re looking for a lightweight, very supported, great theme, check out Kadence.
Free is always in the budget. I hope this has been helpful for y’all. If you like content like this, I’m just about to reach 500 totally free WordPress tutorials on this YouTube channel.
